Frequently Asked Questions
Check back for additional information!
Are kids invited?
We would love if your kids would join us! This is a family friendly event, with plenty of activities for all ages. Please RSVP for all adults and children joining you so that we can plan our space and menus accordingly.
What time does the ceremony start?
The ceremony starts at 5:45pm in the Mill City Museum courtyard (weather permitting). Please arrive any time after 5:15pm to be seated.
What is the dress code?
Though we don’t have a specific dress code, most people are dressing up in formal or semi-formal attire. The party will all be in suits and dresses. Come as your best self with that in mind!
What is being served at the reception?
We will be providing a buffet of salads, breads, chicken, pork, fish, starch, and vegetables, along with desserts and drinks. If you require any special accommodations, such as a dietary restriction, allergy, or kid’s meal, please indicate it along with your RSVP.
Is there a hotel block?
We do have a limited hotel block at a negotiated rate of $159/night for a King room, or $179/night for double Queen room, at the Canopy by Hilton hotel where we are staying. You are not obligated to book through the block, because we know people want the choice to be able to stay wherever their own personal preferences and budgets allow. There is more information on the travel page about the hotel where will be staying, as well as several other hotels within walking distance of the venue. The venue is accessible by public transit.
What ELSE IS GOING ON THIS WEEKEND?
We have several social events planned for Friday, including an afternoon open house at our place in St. Louis Park (about a 15-minute drive from the hotel/venue) and a casual meetup at the hotel bar in the evening. If you are in town and would like some time to gather with friends and family before the event, feel free to join us! More details will be found on the Schedule page.
